WRITING ON THE WALL ………….. FOR CAMERON?

English: Official photograph of David Cameron

As David Cameron sought to ‘do a deal’ with labour to ensure that the Gay Marriage Bill was afforded its First Reading in the House of Lords, one cannot help but experience the bitter taste of success in keeping this Bill alive.  161 votes against almost ensures that this Bill will be written in the Statute Book despite there being no mention of it in the recent Queens Speech.

One must ask if the Prime Minister is losing his grip on the Party and in turn the country.  We are still in the middle of a triple dip recession despite the forecasts and the opposition are assisting ‘the Coalition‘ in ensuring that Bills have passage through the House.  Never, except in war-time, has a serving Prime Minister ‘got into bed’ with the opposition to ensure a Bill.  Is the threat of UKIP being one of the main players on the political stage,  too strong?  Has the time now come for the leadership question to be given full airing?  Is David Cameron still capable to leading the party?  From this side of the fence it would appear not.

Where is the Conservative party heading … at present it lacks leadership, drive, appreciation, focus and a full set of aims and objectives to make it the credible party it once was.  This is just my opinion, it could change and I hope that it does but at present the Party leaves me waiting and wanting the return of the old values.

Someone take up the cudgel on behalf of the people of the Great Britain and lead us into prosperity………………………………………………………………………………………………PLEASE!
